Here I Am...

In 1996, Jaime Useche began a humble ministry in the small, isolated town
of Leticia, deep in the Columbian Amazon. Called by a desire to serve the people
who so generously helped his family to survive when he was a small child, Jaime,
along with his wife Lori and their two children began YWAM Leticia with a
single small Pastor's conference and evangelistic crusade. Since then the
mission has grown to include discipleship training, community development, a
number of mercy missions and the Amazon Ministries International.
In these few pages we hope that you will find the inspiration to join us in this
joyous mission of service and life. Read about when Jaime taught that very
first Pastor's conference, he realized that many of the pastors had no Bibles.
How these men would travel several days by river just to find someone with a
Bible so that they could copy sections by hand and then return to their own
villages to study and teach. How Jaime became determined to see that not
only did every pastor have a bible, but that they could supply Bibles to the
members of their communities. The
Bible mission was born and in the past ten years over 160,000 Bibles have
been distributed to the people across this region.
Learn about our missions of Mercy. Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and engineers
who travel with us each year to Leticia, and then by small boat to the far
tributaries of the Amazon delivering much needed medical, nutritional and
technical aid. Learn about our Boat Mission, the lifeline of our outreach
to these remote areas. Follow our Pastor's conferences and the wonderful
youth of YWAM where we train those who will continue to reach out and share
the Word and ministry with others. And learn how you can become part of
this joyous mission. Through your prayers, your support and your time.

Psalms 2:8
"Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession."
